~{every girl needs a pair of red shoes}~

Red shoes are guaranteed to put a spring in every girl's step.
Skipping along in scarlet heels always feels so fun and frivolous, as
flashes of red, light up heels, soles and toes. I’m longing for a sunny
spring day to arrive so I can wear my red shoes* again. In the
meantime, I’ve taken pictures using the Hipstamatic iPhone App.
Just looking at the rose tinted glow of the photographs,
makes me nostalgic for spring.

~{for shoe lovers: part two}~

One by one, I picked petals from a flower...
"Shoes love me, shoes love me not, shoes love me..."
Sadly, the final petal fell on "Shoes love me not".
It's a classic case of unrequited shoe love...I love these shoes*
but they just don't quite fit properly...Heartbreaking!

~{portobello gold}~

...Beautiful but in need of a little love, vintage golden heels*
from Portobello Market. I can't resist the allure of gold shoes.
I own five twinkling pairs...all different shades of 'sparkling'.
All lined up, waiting for a glamorous occasion.

*{accessorised with corsages, for an added touch of shoe goddess glamour}

~{for all the hopeless romantics}~

A favourite scent and seductive silk negligee...love is in the air.
Chanel No.5 delicately sprayed on a wrist...or behind an ear...
Lace camisoles, with pearl buttons to fasten...or unfasten…
A silk slip left on...or off…ooh la la!
Happy Valentine’s Day...x

New for 2011...
Something for the Girls "Vintage Dress" Gift Bag for Penny Kennedy.
This “Vintage Dress” design has become one of my most popular cards.
The design is based around a real dress which currently
has pride of place, hanging up in my studio.

The dress was bought from a vintage fashion fair in
London many years ago. I searched Ebay for blue shoes,
bought two pairs but settled on the pretty cut out details of the
vintage Contessa shoes. I already had the silk corsage, picked up
from one of the beautiful vintage stores on Columbia Road.
I then dreamt up the wallpaper for the backdrop and voila...

Something for the Girls "Peony" gift bag
....More from the new 2011 licensed collection for Penny Kennedy.
It's really lovely to see my card designs on new products. I started
working with Penny Kennedy last year and it's great to be among
their licensed ranges which currently includes Ella Doran,
Neisha Crossland, Emma Bridgewater and Orla Kiely.

~{sketchbook}~

In my shoe obsessed world, the tenth commandment would read,
"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's Christian Louboutins".
Luckily, a friend lent me her Louboutin heels for the day,
inspiring this Something for the Girls "Head over Heels" card...
